Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
Low-end PC guide: FPS boost, lag and stutter fix

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero config file
Free. The download link appears after a short wait.
- Put it in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\SparkingZERO\ Saved\ Config\ Windows - Engine
- Unreal Engine 5
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero runs on Unreal Engine 5, and its minimum graphics card is a GeForce GTX 980 or a Radeon RX 590. This guide gives you a free Engine.ini, the settings to change first, and fixes for stutter on a weak PC.
Can you run Sparking Zero on a low end PC?
- CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 or AMD Radeon RX 590
- RAM: 8 GB
- VRAM: 4 GB on Nvidia, 8 GB on AMD and Intel
- Storage: 29 GB
- OS: Windows 10, with DirectX 12
Below these specs, expect the game to run poorly. The config lowers the work your GPU has to do, but it can’t replace missing hardware.
Best Sparking Zero settings for low end PCs
- Lower the graphics options first, then change the items below.
- Anti-aliasing: Pick Low (1x) or Off. Each step up, Medium (2x) and High (3x), costs more GPU work.
- Resolution Scale: Keep it at 100 percent. Higher values add supersampling, up to 200 percent, which is heavy on any GPU.
- Frame rate: The game caps frame rate at 60 by default, so you don’t need to set a cap.
- V-Sync: Turn it off. When the GPU falls behind, V-Sync can drop your frame rate in steps.
- Window mode: Pick borderless windowed.

How to fix Sparking Zero stuttering and FPS drops
Sparking Zero is an Unreal Engine 5 game, so the first launch compiles shaders. Let that finish, and expect hitches for the first few minutes.
If you can, install the game on an SSD. It needs 29 GB of storage.
Then work through the basics on Windows:
- Close background apps, such as browsers and overlays from launchers.
- Update your GPU driver from the official site: Nvidia, AMD or Intel.
- On a laptop, plug in the power cable and set the power mode to best performance.
Undo the changes
Delete Engine.ini from the folder. If you made a backup, rename Engine.ini.bak back to Engine.ini instead. The game rebuilds its defaults.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero FAQ
Where is the Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Engine.ini file?
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero keeps it in %LOCALAPPDATA%\SparkingZERO\Saved\Config\Windows. Press Windows + R, paste the path and press Enter. If the folder isn't there yet, start the game once, close it and check again.
Can Dragon Ball Sparking Zero run on a low end PC?
It can, if your PC meets the minimum: an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 or AMD Radeon RX 590, 8 GB of RAM and 29 GB of storage. Below that, the Engine.ini file in this guide can't replace missing hardware.
How do I fix Dragon Ball Sparking Zero stuttering?
Let the first launch finish, because Unreal Engine 5 compiles shaders and causes hitches for the first few minutes. Install the game on an SSD if you can, close background apps and update your GPU driver.
Does Dragon Ball Sparking Zero have an FPS cap?
Yes. The game caps frame rate at 60 FPS by default, which is the right target for a low end PC. The Engine.ini file in this guide doesn't change that cap, so you don't need to set one.
